My absolute favorite period of the Fender Custom Shop was the early years, pretty much anything Pre 1999, but really the sweet spot I have found in terms of quality and attention to detail is 1990-1998. In my opinion these are the finest years of the Fender Custom Shop. This was a time when there were only a small amount of orders and things were truly being hand built, not mass produced "limited edition" relic runs of 100 with black knobs instead of white. No, this period of the Fender Custom shop was when artistic expression was encouraged, and a guitar like this is exactly that.

This is an Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster finished in Holoflake, a rare and time intensive finish and lights up from every angle. The flame neck and rosewood board add both familiarity and class to an iconic design and the pickups scream both modern and vintage tones. This infinitely versatile strat is comfortable both in the studio and on stage and plays as good as it looks. Guitar would be considered NM/EXC+ with only a light amount of playwear throughout. It comes with everything shown including the original COA and paperwork and is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a true Custom Shop quality instrument, but isn't interested in paying a $4500 price for a new instrument when you can get one that is perfectly broken in and resonant for less.
