McPherson MG4.0 XP Acoustic/Electric guitar with a highly acclaimed tonewood combination. We can honestly say that we have not been this impressed by an acoustic instrument in a long time! These guitars demonstrate a level of craftsmanship that, even when inspected under the microscope, is utterly flawless. Additionally, the innovation involved in the design of the offset sound hole and top bracing lends itself to one of the most powerful, booming acoustic sounds that we've come across. However, despite the rich tone and volume, this McPherson stays completely balanced throughout the tonal spectrum. The bass never gets loose or muddy, the mids are punchy and have a strong presence while the highs provide plenty of sparkle and chime without being shrill.
