The GF6 represents some of Dennis Fano's finest work, building on an iconic, semi-hollow platform and improving upon it exponentially! As always, painstaking attention to detail and selection of tonewoods are the primary reason these amazing instruments feel and sound like a properly worn-in, vintage guitar, with all of the benefits of modern design. Tonally, the custom Lollar pickups immediately caught our attention, with a thick midrange and a top-end sparkle reminiscent of that iconic, retro sound. These pups scream when you need it, and easily enter into jazz or blues territory with a slight roll-off of volume and tone; the tonal balance is impressive. In addition, we were blown away by how loud it is when played unplugged! Strum an open chord, and you can feel the resonance and sustain in your entire body.
