The Waterfall Burl Maple top has a beautiful look, and also adds that nice bright Maple tone. The back is a Roasted Alder 2 piece body that offers a wonderful amount of sustain. The Natural Burst finish really allows the wood grain and burl to shine in their natural beauty. The neck and fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro, the rich color make have a Rosewood look but it really has similar characteristics to Maple, tonally. The oil finish and Even C Medium carve make for a very comfortable neck. This Classic S is loaded with Suhr's SSCII noisless system, it's the perfect guitar for the studio or stage! But fear not, this system doesn't impair the tone of the V60 pickups. These single coils have a clear, vintage, bell-like tone you associate with guitars from the 60s.
