The Reverend Club King is a real hot rod that delivers the acoustic overtones of a full size semi-hollow, but with extra clarity and spank courtesy of the 25.5″ scale maple neck. A sleek new body design, a simple yet effective control layout, locking tuners and a graphite nut all work in perfect harmony to create an instrument that stays in tune without any hassle! The back, sides and center block are produced from one slab of Korina which is routed from the top, and then capped with a solid Spruce top. Furthermore, the unique take on the Filtertron has yielded a slightly hotter Revtron pickup which is the perfect foundation for that hot-rodded rockabilly sound. Excellent sustain and attack are coupled with substantial resonance for a uniquely big and responsive tone.
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips!
We design our own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with our instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching.
