Babied and treated like the one of a kind piece that it is, the instrument is in fantastic condition, even by NEW guitar standards! A 50+ year-old instrument in this shape is nearly impossible to find as anything other than a museum piece; the photos hardly do it justice as the wood and finish combination is absolutely stunning.
Apart from very fine checking on the headstock and top, light finish marks and patina on the hardware, this guitar is in excellent PLUS condition with virtually no playwear throughout the neck, fingerboard and body. With low action, and a fantastic overall fit and finish, this time capsule is an absolute joy to play, channeling all of the familiar fingerpicking Nashville spank reminiscent of Chet Atkins, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed.
