If you're here, you probably already know, but this Status Graphite S4000 is one beastly bass. With a headless design, composite body, and carbon fiber neck, it's a relic of that late 80's early 90's innovation that's purposely chosen and delivers a uniquely special playing experience. The neck has nice low action and a slim carve for an amazingly smooth play feel. Carbon fiber means no bending, bowing, or seasonal changes to worry about. But what about the tone you ask? It's fantastic! The resonance is solid and the low frequencies are full and present. A brass nut and bridge add a nice bit of mid-kick and really brings out your playing dynamics. The controls have their own character too with a pickup pan, master volume, and 18v cut/boost for even more range. Like any guitar this age, it shows the usual signs of cosmetic wear, but has plenty of gigs left in it. The top has some swirling and light pick wear while the back has some light buckle rash and finish cracks at the neck pocket. None of which are worn through the paint. The electronics can be scratchy at times when dialing things in, but once you find your settings it's a real treat! This bass is ready to return to action, make it yours today.
