The neck is a dream to play and comfortably allows easy access up the fretboard via the unique reverse offset shape. Resonance and sustain are incredible with such a proven, time-tested tonewood combination...and it's hard to go wrong with its gorgeous Fire / Onyx finish. The Seymour Duncan humbuckers are the icing on the cake, with a nice fat, warm tone that will handle anything you throw at them. Knaggs really nailed it with this one!
If you don't know Joe Knaggs, he was head of R & D at PRS for a number of years as well as the head of the Private Stock department. He had his hand in almost every Private Stock ever built and as such, his name and signature is often found on the COAs and headstocks of those amazing guitars. This will be very familiar for any PRS Custom fans out there, and given these are hand built one at a time, the attention to detail is second to none. These guitars maintain all the Vintage tones you need, handle modern gain like you expect and sustain for days thanks to the set neck design.
