2001 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1957 Historic Reissue Goldtop

Picking up this instrument is like holding a little piece of history. The Gibson Reissue instruments are incredible time capsules of an era that defined rock music as well as the electric guitar. The thick neck profile of this R7 is amazingly comfortable to hold, and boasts a special, powerful resonance that cuts right through the mix. This axe absolutely sings! The iconic Goldtop is gorgeous and this guitar comes alive with one of the best sounding sets of PAF style pickups available on the market. They are woodsy, throaty and clear with a balanced midrange and are instantly recognizable as the emblematic sound of the 50s. As far as the rest, this axe hardly needs an introduction. Huge, deep Mahogany sound enhanced by a the Maple cap that gives the instrument top-end chime and sparkle - all in excellent condition save for a small chip on the headstock and minuscule dings on the neck that are hardly visible in the photos. Vintage original hardware right down to the knobs and pickup selector, comes with a Gibson hardshell case. This acclaimed guitar is THE voice of generations of rock music history!
