Our trip to Suhr was a blast. Not only did we get to escape this dreadful Wisconsin winter, but we had a chance to check out the 2016 collection, hand-pick tops for some of our 2016 builds, and catch a concert featuring some of Suhr's finest artists. We must admit, the biggest thrill was receiving our 2016 Suhr Dealer of the Year award. It's an honor to be the top dealer for such a great company.
The first thing we did was check out the incredible instruments in this years Suhr Collection. With highly figured Macassar Ebony, Cocobolo, and Mexican Kingwood, each guitar is a natural work of art and offers a look you've never seen before. Suhr has used some of their finest woods to build these guitars and they feature custom wood pickup covers you can find only on Collection Series guitars. Check out the video at the bottom of our post that highlights the build process and expect to see these in our store within the next week. The Mexican Kingwood 24T and Trans Faded Green Modern featured in the video are two of the actual guitars we will be receiving so call or email to reserve yours today.
To compliment the collection, this years showcase pieces are titled "The Trilogy". Building upon the legacy of “The One”, Suhr has created three exquisitely crafted instruments for 2016 that include a matching Bella amplifier and their new Dual Boost pedal - all crafted from The Longview Harvest Maple. The quality and craftsmanship is second to none.
After picking out our Collection guitars we thought we would start thinking about the rest of our 2016 builds. We spent a lot of time in Suhr's wood library picking out dozens of amazing tops to use on upcoming builds. There are going to be some amazing wood and color combinations in the works and can't wait to see the finished product.
